After "Liberté", "Egalité", "Fraternité" and "Marianne", here is "Allons enfants", a Marianne made up of her three key values which intertwine and accumulate to excess and which is also intended as a tribute to Eugène Delacroix and his "Freedom Leading the People". The figures of the woman carrying the French flag on Delacroix's painting, as well as that of the street child, who will inspire Victor Hugo for Gavroche, are taken up on the sides. At the top, a dove, a symbol of peace, escapes from the Phrygian cap, while at the bottom the title of the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen is repeated on the chest of the Marianne. So many symbols and references to Art, the History of France and the Nation...
Composed of nearly 20 layers of stencils, this work is a unique piece. The stencil frames were destroyed after use.

J'aime beaucoup cette Marianne, malheureusement déjà vendue quand j'ai voulu l'acheter. Les couleurs, le regard, les symboles incrustés dans le fond... Ce travail d'intégration de lettres et de mots dans les personnages est très original et transmet beaucoup de messages. Je suis fan.
